2019’S MOST STREAMED LATIN MUSIC ARTIST IN THE WORLD, J BALVIN WILL RELEASE HIS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM “COLORES” IN MARCH
03 FEBRUARY 2020 (TORONTO, ON) - Continuing a string of historic performances across the last year (which included Latin music milestones at Coachella and Lollapalooza), J Balvin brought Reggaeton to the iconic Super Bowl halftime show tonight, as he made a surprise appearance joining Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, and his recent “Oasis” partner Bad Bunny in a momentous celebration of #LatinoGang. Setting social media ablaze, J Balvin performed his groundbreaking smash hit “Mi Gente” and recent Major Lazer collaboration “Que Calor” for the massive worldwide TV audience.
Fresh off concluding an extraordinary 2019 as the year’s most streamed Latin music artist in the world, J Balvin has already set his sights on an even bigger year-to-come with the recent announcement of a March release for his eagerly-awaited fourth solo album “COLORES.” A creative and visual continuation of Balvin’s distinctive style of Reggaeton, while envisioning new music through the lens of distinctive individual colors, Billboard has already projected the release as “one of the most anticipated albums of 2020… we can expect a conceptual masterpiece.”
As with the album’s two advance tracks - the ‘head spinning and hypnotic’ “Blanco” (White) and ‘sleek, stylish, straight heat’ of “Morado” (Purple) - each inspired shade on “Colores” finds Balvin working with favorite and frequent collaborators: SKY (song producer and co-writer), video director Collin Tilley, and Takashi Murakami (artwork),
Leading up to the album’s March release, look for J Balvin to share additional advance music and visuals, announce additional creative partnerships in conjunction with “Colores” and make a series of special TV appearances.
