3 June, 2019 (Toronto, ON) – After weeks teasing the long-awaited video for his fan-favourite single “Waste my Time” with previews from stage during his headlining North American and European ‘Teenage Fever’ tour (wrapping this week in London, England), singer songwriter Johnny Orlando dropped a surreal music video over the weekend to the delight of fans around the world.

Playing with the concept of time – freezing it, stopping it, and exploring what that can mean alongside someone special – Orlando playfully explores an everyday afternoon in an everyday neighbourhood as everything around him stops. To support the video, Orlando simultaneously launched a global SnapChat lens that mirrors the video, inviting fans to explore the world he creates with his latest music video.

“’Playing ‘Waste My Time’ live during the Teenage Fever tour has been amazing. It is the song fans seem to love most from the EP and the energy in the room when we start to play it is wild,” said Johnny. “We wanted to create a video complemented by a SnapChat lens that gives everyone a chance to play with the feeling we tried to create when writing the song – when being with someone makes time feel like it has completely stopped.”

About Johnny Orlando:
Johnny Orlando first expressed his passion for music when he was just eight years old, posting his first YouTube cover with the help of his older sister. The video, created as a fun Christmas break activity and shared online for family and friends, racked up several thousand views in a few short weeks, so the pair continued to post. Johnny’s fan base grew, then exploded into massive growth, netting him multiple Teen and Kids Choice Award nominations and a combined social following of 16 million dedicated fans.

He’s come a long way since that first post - touring the world with co-headlining and sold-out North American and European tours, signing a recording deal with Universal Music Canada / Island Records, releasing new music (“What If” and “Last Summer”) and now, ready to release debut EP.

Orlando (now 16) is at the forefront of the next generation of Canadian artists impacting a global music stage. He’s been featured in VARIETY, Teen Vogue, Paper Magazine, J-14, Tiger Beat and Just Jared Jr and much more.
