Rapper engages fans with on social media with Tunespeak campaign

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (July 18, 2016) – Smo dropped new single “Never Get Old” last week exclusively on The Boombox, marking the fourth released track from his upcoming album We The People, due on July 22 and available for pre-order now. “Never Get Old,” which features up-and-coming country vocalist Josie Dunn, joins “Say My Name,” the “catchy as all hell” tune “Movin’ On Up” and the patriotic title track, “We The People” (full listing below).

The Boombox noted: “Smo’s rap resume isn’t that far off from the likes of Future and Young Jeezy. On the surface, the similarities between the farmer and his fellow southern rhymers may not be obvious… But Smo also mixes country and rap – a unique vision that informs an original sound.”

Smo has also launched a Tunespeak campaign in which fans compete with one another to gain points by engaging with Smo’s social media and digital content including videos, photos and music. The winner gets a prize bundle including a turntable and high-end headphones from Audio Technica, plus a signed copy of We The People and other Smo merch.
Starting the day of album release, Smo will hit Walmarts across Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee and North Carolina to meet fans and celebrate We The People (dates below). In keeping with the patriotic album title, he will also make special visits to honor our military at Camp Lejeune and Fort Bragg.
Always showcasing a sound and genre all his own, Smo celebrated 10 consecutive weeks in the Top 10 of the country and rap charts with his album Kuntry Livin’. The Tennessee native, previously named a Rolling Stone “Artist You Should Know,” has amassed more than 50 million views on YouTube, nearly 40 million streams and has sold over 581,000 tracks. The New York Times explained, “It’s hard to refute country bona fides of Big Smo, even if the medium he uses to deliver them isn’t the familiar one.”
