JACOB COLLIER RETURNS WITH TWO NOMINATIONS

21 NOVEMBER 2019 (TORONTO, ON) – Decca Records and its partner labels have scooped multiple nominations for the 2020 GRAMMY Awards, including nods for classical superstars Andrea Bocelli and Nicola Benedetti.

Bocelli was nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Si (released via Sugar/Decca) – it earned the celebrated tenor his first simultaneous US and UK No.1 record last year. Decca Classics violinist Nicola Benedetti received her first ever GRAMMY nods for her collaboration with composer Wynton Marsalis on his Violin Concerto in D Major, which received two nominations for Best Classical Instrumental Solo and Best Contemporary Classical Composition.

In a first for the Mercury KX label and Decca Publishing, composer-performer Sebastian Plano made his debut on the GRAMMYs shortlist with his album Verve appearing in the Best New Age Album category. Also nominated for the first time are The Teskey Brothers whose album Run Home Slow is up for Best Engineered Album.

Previous GRAMMY winner Jacob Collier is nominated again – this time for Best Arrangement (Instrumental or A Cappella) for Moon River and also for Best Arrangement (Instruments and Vocals) for All Night Long.

Decca Records President, Rebecca Allen, says “The whole Decca label group is beyond excited by the Grammy news today. To have nominations across all three of our labels shows the strength of our artists, and the dedication and hard work of the Decca team. We would also like to thank the Verve Label Group for being such perfect partners and for continuing to support our artists.”

The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will take place on 26 January 2020 at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
