SANTA MONICA, Calif., and VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 12, 2016  -- Reflecting the continued worldwide growth of the Company's unscripted television business, Gisela Asimus-Minnbergh has been named to the newly-created position of Vice President of Alternative Programming Sales for Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF) ahead of the MIPCOM international sales convention later this month.  The announcement was made by Lionsgate Senior Vice President of Alternative Programming Sales Ted Bookstaver, to whom she will report.

Ms. Asimus-Minnbergh will be part of the team responsible for helping launch the Company's unscripted programming and format sales division globally.  She will be in charge of identifying new revenue streams and business opportunities for Lionsgate's slate of alternative programming as well as negotiating and closing format and programming deals across most European territories.
At this year's MIPCOM, Ms. Asimus-Minnbergh will be selling the Company's first broadcast network unscripted series, Kicking & Screaming, a survival competition show from renowned Fear Factor producer Matt Kunitz debuting on FOX in January. Lionsgate has retained all international format rights to the series.

Ms. Asimus-Minnbergh previously served for eight years as Sales Director of Television Distribution for Endemol, managing all television, digital and home entertainment sales of the company's scripted and non-scripted programming as well as expanding its business into digital platforms. She was also Senior Sales Executive at Southern Star International for a decade, managing all sales of finished programs and formats.  Most recently, she negotiated acquisitions and partnerships with BBC Worldwide and PBS International for Viking Cruises.
