Eagerly Awaited Debut Album, CHURCH OF SCARS, Arrives April 20
Performs On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on March 26 and Appears on New Season Of American Idol
12 March 2018 (Toronto, ON) – Alternative artist, Bishop Briggs drops the video for her current single “White Flag” today. The powerful one-take video was shot on location in Los Angeles and directed by James Larese (Eminem, A Tribe Called Quest, Alicia Keys). Watch the official music video for “White Flag” HERE. “White Flag” is the new single from CHURCH OF SCARS, Bishop’s highly anticipated debut album arriving April 20 through Republic Records/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.
Today also marks the release of “White Flag” (Acoustic). Listen to the track HERE.
“White Flag is a song about resilience despite obstacles that may come your way so it was really important that this power was represented in the music video. As the video progresses, the message becomes clear that you can always find strength even if you feel imprisoned by your circumstances, insecurities or doubts. James Larese directed the video and I was thankful to partner with someone who wasn’t afraid to try a one take! We shot it in a huge warehouse and I ran from station to station. I am proud of this video and incredibly thankful for the entire Triggr & Bloom team. I hope you leave the video feeling empowered to confront anything standing in your way.” – Bishop Briggs
On March 26, Bishop will perform “White Flag” on CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Stay tuned for Bishop’s upcoming appearance on FOX’s American Idol, where they have added a roster of celebrity guests who will sing with the show’s top 24 contestants in a series of duets. The special event duets will air in April.  In addition to Briggs, the other acts that will hit the stage for duets are Banners, Aloe Blacc, Cam, Colbie Caillat, Luis Fonsi, Andy Grammer, Lea Michele, Train’s Pat Monahan, Rachel Platten, Bebe Rexha, Sugarland, and Allen Stone.
Affirming her exploding fan base, Briggs officially opens a headlining North American tour this spring on April 27, at Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, one week after the release of CHURCH OF SCARS.
